PADV Thanksgiving Events
MSF held its annual Thanksgiving events for PADV on November the 4rd and 10th. We served beef and turkey meat loafs, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, cornbread muffins, green beans and a variety of cakes. The organization partnered with Precious Purses of Power. It is a foundation started by Kristin Rhodes and her daughter Leah (pictured below). They collect gently used purses, fill them with toiletries and give them out to women in need. Kristin was also gracious enough to double as our guest speaker for the events. She shared her personal domestic violence story and how creating the foundation helped her to heal. The women were thankful for the encouraging words and gifts! All purses included the following:
1. Travel pack (lotion, body wash & shampoo)
2. Maxi pads
3. Soap
