2014 was MSF’s biggest year yet! We expanded the Holiday Giving program to add Florida, Louisiana, and South Carolina. We established MSF Visits to provide college tours for low-income students. We also participated in school supply drives in two states! We are beyond blessed to have experienced so much kindness from donators, volunteers, and partner programs. Without all of you, we could not accomplish all that we do. Thank You!

 

MSF Visits – Clemson Tour

We at MSF believe in the power of education to alter lives, and as such we wanted to begin incorporating more education related events. With this goal in mind, we established the MSF Visits program, and we sponsored a visit to Clemson for one very deserving high school student.

 

Barrow County Back 2 School Bash

With your support, MSF raised enough money to donate 100 book bags for the 2014 Barrow County School Supply Drive! We are also able to have Markus Wingfield of Mark & Company Barber Shop in Winder, GA come out and give free hair cuts for the boys and girls at the Bash. He cut hair for 4 hours straight!

 

Louisiana School Supply Drive

MSF traveled to Donaldsonville, LA to participate in Volunteer Ascension’s Back to School Supply Drive. We not only collected school supplies for students of low income families in Ascension Parish, we also donated $280 for the purchase of more supplies.

 

1st Annual West Ascension Parish Uniform Distribution

In addition to giving out uniforms, MSF distributed 200 care packages tagged with inspirational phrases to the high school students. Blow Pops with the positive messages were also given out to Pre-K through 8th grade students.

 

PADV Thanksgiving Events

For the 2nd year in a row, MSF partnered with New Mercies Christian Church to sponsor Thanksgiving events for Partners Against Domestic Violence (PADV). We provided food, crafts, and inspirational items.

 

A Mother’s Promise

During the process of selecting families to sponsor for the holidays, we came a cross a family that had recently suffered a number of losses and they were trying hard to remain positive and together. Seeing a way to ease some of the burden on them, MSF attempted a new type of fundraising called GoFundMe in order to raise funds to purchase a used vehicle for the family. We were amazed by the support given and are happy to report the vehicle is making a positive difference for this family.
